Cremation or Burial?
Careful consideration should be given as to whether you require a burial or cremation service.
There are a number of Crematoria in the local area each offering different service lengths and options regarding the final resting place of the cremated remains. Our funeral director will be pleased to offer advice on which would best suit your requirements.
When arranging a burial, you will need to decide where you wish the service to take place. This may be in a Church, the cemetery chapel or should you wish, we are able to accommodate up to 40 people in our Fratton Road premises. Alternatively, if you prefer, the service can be held at the graveside.
The Cemeteries in the City of Portsmouth are Milton and Kingston. Interments in Highland Road Cemetery are only allowed in an existing family plot. Cemeteries in the local area include Waterlooville , Warblington , Catherington , Roman Grove and Fareham.
We will be pleased to provide information regarding the cemetery of your choice.
Natural Burial Sites
Increasingly people are choosing to have interments in natural burial sites as an alternative to a traditional Cemetery or Churchyard burial. Typically the coffin must be made of a natural, sustainable material and the grave cannot be marked with a permanent memorial. We will gladly provide you information on this.
Local to Portsmouth is the SOUTH DOWNS NATURAL BURIAL SITE, East Meon.
